"Grieving Comes in Waves"
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.” – Vicki Harrison
Heartbreaking grief pounds you in black waves - wave after wave.
An ‘improvised’ self-portrait, my face cast as a young man, on a beach with surf - reflecting my current state of mind about the many family, friends & lovers who have passed before me. The simple, unspoken & painful truth is that the older you get - the more you are haunted by faces you will never see again.
